Pasco County Friday Night Football Rundown

Pasco County had several games on tap for the evening and many of the contests ended up being blowouts in the process. As the state of Florida prepares for the postseason to take place within a couple of weeks, we take a look at brief recaps of the games that went on Friday night. Below are the final scores.

Pasco 32, Gulf 6: Despite holding just a 12-6 lead at intermission, the Pirates were able to getaway with a 32-6 blowout win over the Buccaneers. Gulf is on a 21-game on the field losing streak.

Tampa Bay Tech 48, Wiregrass Ranch 14: The Bulls are back to the drawing board after a blowout loss to the Titans. Wiregrass Ranch’s losses have come to Clearwater Central Catholic, Armwood, Mitchell and Tampa Bay Tech.

Hudson 38, Cypress Creek 31: In the most exciting contest of the night, Hudson went ahead and picked up win No. 4 after holding onto a 38-31 win. The Cobras went up 38-21, but the Coyotes staged a furious comeback before not recovering the onside towards the end of the game.

Wesley Chapel 43, Tarpon Springs 6: After getting up 14-6, the Wildcats rushed out to a 28-6 lead by halftime en route to a blowout win over the Spongers.

Mitchell 52, Sickles 14: The undefeated season continues for the Mustangs, as they got out to a 28-14 lead and never looked back. Mitchell is now 7-0 on the season. 

Fivay 28, Land O’ Lakes 3: The Falcons made it four wins in a row when they upended the Gators 28-3. Fivay has bounced back nicely after early season losses to River Ridge and Gaither.

River Ridge 35, Anclote 0: Though the Royal Knights were without several players due to suspension, they were still able to roll onto a shutout win owner the Sharks.

Sunlake 30, Leto 0: The Seahawks picked up win No. 2 on the season when they breezed by Leto. Sunlake was tied up at 0-0 after one quarter but then out-scored the Hawks 30-0 the rest of the way. 

Zephyrhills 26, Hawthorne 0: Class 1A power Hawthorne rolled into town and left with a loss, as the Bulldogs rolled up 26 points en route to their third shutout of the season.
