A case that started more than a year ago as a marijuana investigation evolved into much more, leading to a raid on two houses Thursday morning where Pasco County sheriff’s deputies seized other drugs, cash and guns.
“These are huge amounts of drugs,” Sheriff Chris Nocco said at a Thursday afternoon news conference where the seized items were displayed on a table.
The haul included 10 pounds of marijuana, one-half kilo of cocaine, an undetermined amount of oxycodone and 20 grams of “molly,” the powder form of ecstasy that investigators described as more potent than the pill form.
The drugs had an estimated street value of $100,000, the sheriff’s office reported.
Three people were arrested when deputies raided the two houses at 10140 Old Orchard Lane, Port Richey, and 12802 College Hill, Hudson.
