NPR attracts big crowd to Summer’s End Party

Summer vacation might be over for area students, but they squeezed in one more evening of fun at the Summer’s End Party in the pool at New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center.

The event made a big splash, according to Kristen King, events and community outreach coordinator for the city. About 200 people showed up as families spent some quality time together.

As the sun went down, the lights over the pool area came on as the party continued until about 10:30 p.m.

Games abounded as a disc jockey spun tunes.
