SHADY HILLS — Hundreds of people rode the rails and took part in other activities during Crews Lake Park Appreciation Day.
The Central Pasco & Gulf Railroad sponsored the event to introduce the miniature trains and other park amenities to spectators.
The appreciation day also raised donations to create recreational vehicle spaces for overnight visitors.
In fact, two Boy Scouts will earn Eagle Scout rank for projects associated with the RV area, according to CP&GRR member Bill Baker.
Organizers honored Pasco County Commissioner Pat Mulieri as an “Honorary Friend of the Railroad.”
