WESLEY CHAPEL — With National Signing Day come and gone, Wiregrass Ranch linebacker Dylan Ridolph was one of the last big names when it came to Pasco County stars to commit to a college to play at on the next level.
Ridolph made his decision on the day of National Signing Day, Feb. 5, and chose to play at Catawba College. Catawba, which was founded in 1851, is in Salisbury, North Carolina. The Catawba Indians are in NCAA Division II and a member of the South Atlantic Conference.
Ridolph was a big part of Wiregrass Ranch’s defense over the last three seasons, with the rush linebacker compiling big statistics. For the 2019 season, Ridolph recorded 103 tackles and notched a team-high 11.0 sacks. He led Pasco County in sacks in 2018, but was jumped in that department by Zephyrhills Christian lineman Malik Jones.
Jones is another player who will be playing college football on the next level, as the defensive tackle has already committed to play at Florida Atlantic University. Jones had himself quite the season for the Warriors, as the FAU commit reached over 100 tackles and 20-plus sacks for the playoff-bound Zephyrhills Christian.
