SHADY HILLS — Much like Anclote’s tournament, which that was won by a Pinellas County school, St. Petersburg, another program from outside of Pasco pulled away and ended up winning the tourney's championship.
Clearwater Central Catholic won its second straight Hurricane Invitational 7-on-7 tournament last summer. Now, CCC will look to take home first place once again in this year’s annual Hurricane Invitational, in which it will go up against another impressive field of teams.
The 2019 tournament is scheduled to take place on June 13 and games are slated to get underway at 9 a.m. The cost to place a team in the tournament is $295.00 per squad, with a maximum of 20 players per roster. There’s a guarantee of five games for every team that signs up.
The tournament, run by Bishop McLaughlin Head Coach Tico Hernandez, has the winning team getting their entrance money back and a championship trophy.
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School is at 13651 Hays Road.
