After spending more than eight hours discussing the planned preliminary development and rezoning request for the 404-unit Anclote Harbor apartment complex, no final decision was made because, once again, the meeting ran too long to cast a final vote.

For more than a decade, a 74-acre parcel of land along the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs has been at the center of a battle between developers who want to build on the site and residents who want to preserve it. That battle is continuing after a Houston apartment builder has proposed a 400-unit apartment complex.
