West Pasco motorists will see extended detours and closures in Hudson and New Port Richey soon.
The Pasco County Department of Public Works issued a press release this week detailing the upcoming Little Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project that will begin the week of Nov. 30. The project includes both northbound and southbound lanes of Little Road, from State Road 52 to Hudson Avenue.
Work hours were set at 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, to avoid peak drive times. Single-lane closures are to be expected, with message boards directing traffic.
The project is expected to take 90 days to complete, depending on weather conditions. The target completion date is Feb. 27, 2021.
The upcoming New Port Richey project involves work on the Orangewood lift station and force main project. This underground work will cause the closure of Sunrunner Drive, from Sun Country Drive to Orangewood Lakes Road, in the Orangewood Lakes subdivision. The neighborhood sits between Rowan and Little roads and south of Massachusetts Avenue.
This project will begin Nov. 30 and motorists can expect to see detour, men working and road closure signs.
Residents can get more information on this project by calling the New Port Richey Public Works Department 727-841-4536.
