Refused sex, man assaults woman

PORT RICHEY – Pasco Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 63-year-old Port Richey man on Sept. 24 because he assaulted a woman after she refused to have sex in the shower.

Police reports state that Frank Michael Sorbera and the unidentified victim were arguing about getting in the shower together to have sex. The victim told deputies she was gathering her things to leave and while getting food from the refrigerator, Sorbera slammed the freezer door on her head. She had swelling and a small cut to her left temple/eye area, the police report states.

Sorbera told deputies he was arguing with the woman but denied hitting her with the freezer door on purpose. He said he heard her getting food from the refrigerator and told her to wait until her parents got there. He then shut the door, claiming not knowing the victim’s head was in the freezer.
