The Pasco Board of County Commissioners will offer another round of CARES assistance to residents experiencing financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Residents may apply for the one-time assistance at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11, by going to bit.ly/2DxdKj6. Funds will be distributed to about 150 people on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Eligible residents are those struggling to pay mortgages for homesteaded properties, rent or water and electric bills. A maximum allowance of $3,500 per household will be distributed.
Anyone who has already received a CARES assistance payment is ineligible.
Residents will be income-qualified at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income and must prove Pasco residency and economic impact from COVID-19.
Pasco County received funding for this program through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES). The county board initially appropriated $4 million to Pasco CARES.
