Tarpon Springs is in the process of installing new directional and wayfinding signs throughout the city, including this one on Tarpon Avenue near the Faklis shoe store. It’s part of an initiative to replace 71 such signs that were installed in 2011.

All 71 should be installed by this week. According to officials, the total cost of the replacement signage was $74,000, with $54,000 coming from Community Redevelopment Agency funds for signs within the special downtown district and $20,000 from the general fund for those outside the CRA.
