CLEARWATER – A new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site is scheduled to open at 7 a.m., Aug. 10, at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Rd.
According to a Pinellas County press release, the site was chosen to provide closer access to residents living and working in the northern and central reaches of the peninsula.
The drive-thru testing site will be open from 7-10 a.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Partnering with Ruth Eckerd Hall are BayCare, Pinellas County, the city of Clearwater and the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County.
Pinellas County, Clearwater, FDOH-Pinellas and Ruth Eckerd Hall will provide logistical, public safety and clinical teams for the site, while BayCare Health System will provide management, testing and results notification of patients.
Patients are encouraged to bring a referral from a medical provider and those who do not will be screened based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Testing will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
