UPDATE: The man shot and killed at Samuel Pasco Athletic Park has been identified as Carl Branch, 32, of Fort Myers.

According to updates from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Branch was shot while a youth football tournament was taking place. The suspects are described as an unknown number of black males wearing dark clothing in a white 4-door Nissan sedan.

The latest police reports stated that the suspect(s) are believed to be from the Fort Myers area. Investigators think the vehicle has damage to the driver's side front quarter panel, which is painted a tan primer color.

ZEPHYRHILLS – The Pasco County Sheriff's Office stated that the victim killed in a Saturday afternoon shooting at Samuel Pasco Athletic Park is an adult male.

An emergency call to report the shooting came in at 12:57 p.m. It occurred in the parking lot area of the Zephyrhills park at 39835 Chancey Road.

According to police reports, the deceased male was the lone victim injured. Investigators continue to gather information and are unsure how many suspects were involved. The suspect(s) are believed to be traveling in a white, 4-door sedan.

The Sheriff's Office does not believe the shooting was a random act and is still investigating possible motives.
