A portion of Shoal Line Boulevard, in the Hernando Beach area, will be closed in early March while county water main improvements are underway.

HERNANDO BEACH — While planned water main improvements are underway, a lane of Shoal Line Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic.

The Hernando County Utilities Department says the lane of Shoal Line Boulevard will be closed from March 3 until March 5 between Hushpuppy Lane and Darlene Street.

During the temporary closing of Shoal Line Boulevard, all side streets within the affected area will remain open to motorists, according to Hernando Utilities. Two-way traffic will be maintained during the duration of the closure, but “slight” traffic delays should be expected, the department said in a Feb. 25 news release.
