Hernando deputies are seeking information on the man seen in this sketch. His body was found Tuesday morning lying on a frontage road off Commercial Way, north of Forest Oaks Boulevard.

SPRING HILL — The Hernando Sheriff’s Office is seeking help identifying the body of a man lying in the middle of the road this morning.

Deputies responding to a report of a possible hit-and-run incident discovered the body lying on the frontage road in front of St. Lucy Plaza, off Commercial Way, just north of Forest Oaks Boulevard, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Rather than the victim of a hit and run, the release says, the man likely experienced a “medical incident” and fell to the ground. The man’s body bears no signs of trauma, so foul play is not suspected, deputies say.

There is a possibility the man is a resident of the Berkeley Manor community, the release says.

The dead man is described as a white Male approximately 50 years of age. He was wearing a blue long-sleeve Avenger's T-shirt, blue Dickies work pants and black sneakers.

He was not carrying any form identification.

The Sheriff’s Office has released a sketch of the dead man. Anyone with information should contact Detective Mike O'Brien at 352-754-6830.
