Dade City-based Premier Community HealthCare Group will conduct its annual Women’s Health Screening and Education Day on Jan. 17. The nonprofit organization has two West Pasco offices.

NEW PORT RICHEY — Premier Community HealthCare Group, a Dade City-based nonprofit organization serving Hernando and Pasco counties, will present its 2018 Women’s Health Screening and Education Day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 17, at six of its locations.

The event offers free tests and examinations, including clinical breast exams, pelvic exams, pap tests, blood pressure tests and body mass index tests. Guest will also be invited to partake in giveaways and receive other health information resources.

“Women’s Health Screening and Education Day is an incredible opportunity to provide vital resources and exams to many Pasco and Hernando residents,” stated Delisa Heron, chief medical officer at Premier, in a press release. “At the end of the day, our goal for this event is to help women learn more about health risks and what they can do to prevent them; ultimately, helping them to foster healthier, more active and fulfilling lives in the community.”

The event is free for the uninsured at any of the six Premier locations. Most insurance plans will also be accepted, including Medicaid. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling of appointments is encouraged by calling 352-518-2000.

Four of Premier’s six offices are in Pasco County. West Pasco offices are the New Port Richey Family Health Center, 2114 Seven Springs Blvd., and Hudson Family Health Center, 11611 Denton Ave., inside the Mike Fasano Regional Hurricane Shelter.
