Drive-thru COVID vaccinations the week of Feb. 1

DOH-Pasco officials will be administering 1,700 first doses of COVID-19 vaccines to individuals during the week of Feb. 1.

The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County announced Thursday it will be holding four COVID-19 vaccination clinics the week of Feb. 1 at Saint Leo University and the Sears at Gulf View Square Mall in Port Richey.

Vaccinations continue to be available only to individuals 65 years of age or older, healthcare personnel with direct patient contact and residents and staff of long-term care facilities.

Vaccination appointments are needed to participate. Individuals are required to go to or call 1-844-770-8548 and create an account with CDR Maguire: Heath and Medical. The account allows users to then register for an appointment.

Vaccination appointments will open for registration at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31. DOH-Pasco officials are advising individuals to be aware that "the demand for the COVID-19 vaccine is greater than the supply on hand, so appointments for vaccination fill up very quickly."

A total of 1,700 first-dose vaccinations will be administered to individuals and being a Pasco County resident is not a requirement.

There will be 700 appointments available each day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, Wednesday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 5, at Saint Leo University.

There will be 1,000 appointments available at the Sears at Gulf View Square Mall from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The press release issued at 3:25 p.m., Jan. 28, explicitly noted that DOH-Pasco will not be providing second dose vaccinations at either location on Saturday, Jan. 30, or Sunday, Jan. 31.

Thursday, Feb. 4, is only for second dose appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gulf View Square Mall. These appointments are reserved for individuals who received their first dose from Jan. 5-8.

Anyone needing a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will receive a no-reply email from CDRM Health on or before Monday, Feb. 1.

Vaccine recipients must have a photo I.D. when checking in for appointments. If the online patient portal was used to register for an appointment (instead of calling), those people should bring a printed or digital copy of the confirmation email they received containing a QR code.
