YMCA helps make season bright for kids
The James P. Gills Family Branch YMCA in Trinity recently held its annual Season of Giving event where 120 children were provided gifts.

Gills Family Branch YMCA in Trinity during its annual Season of Giving event. Some 120 children were provided gifts including a Boar's Head ham and gifts from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

You better watch out, especially if Santa Claus is watching from the rear of a refrigerated Boar's Head truck. Santa Claus was portrayed by Scott Grant of Dade City. Mrs. Claus, Jackie Grant of Dade City, was not far. Boar's Head and West Wind Provision provided a ham for those attending.

Weekly COVID-19 update
The Florida Department of Health reported 1,846 new cases of COVID-19 in Pasco County from Jan. 11-16, bringing the count to 26,551. Forty-seven residents died due to the novel coronavirus, upping the death toll to 453.
