Mary Perrone Davis shows her newest children’s book, “Mary and the Little Lamb.”

TRINITY — A local author who has made a career out of working with children has released her fifth book in a series about a little girl’s growth in her relationship with God.

Mary Perrone Davis has worked with children for 25 years as a Pasco County school nurse, a Faith Formation teacher, a Boy Scout religious emblem counselor and a Cub Scout retreat director.

Her experience with children has convinced her that children are able to understand spiritual concepts and biblical teachings at a deeper level than most adults realize.

Davis has now become a published children’s author with five titles in a series to her credit.

“Mary’s Butterfly Garden” helps children recognize the hand of God in the beauty of His creations.

“Mary and the Fireflies” teaches children to shine with the love of Jesus.

“Mary Loves to Sing” teaches children to step out in faith and give back to God the gifts He has given them.

“Mary Visits A Farm” teaches children about the help God gives them when they are yoked with Him.

Davis’ latest book, “Mary and the Little Lamb,” was published in January. It is the story of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who will carry us when we struggle.

The book are aimed at children ages 2-8 and are available through Davis’ publisher,

They are also available through, the Christian Arbor catalog and most online bookstores.
