Shops and eateries in downtown Brooksville will present Sham-Rockin on March 16.

BROOKSVILLE — On Saturday March 16, downtown Brooksville will transform once again into a Sham-Rockin treasure hunt in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Local shops will welcome visitors to hunt for shamrocks which they can then trade for a ticket to win prizes from a raffle drawing that will take place at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon on Facebook.

“There is no fee to enter the raffle,” said Rory Steele, owner of Little Lady Cafe, one of the merchants participating. “You get entries visiting the merchants and finding the shamrocks.”

The event is coordinated by the Business Owners Group, Destination Brooksville, of which Steele is the President. “The purpose is to bring attention and awareness to downtown and all that we have to offer,” she said.

“It’s a lot of fun hunting the shamrocks in each of the businesses with a chance to win door prizes and the big gift basket.”

Each merchant will also offer special discounts during the event and prizes and giveaways.

Merchants participating include Little Lady Cafe, Downtown Loser, Easy Street Home Decor, Transformed Treasures, The Wired Bird, AKA Salvage & Design, Country Depot, Rising Sun Bistro and more.
