PORT RICHEY – A two-vehicle accident in Port Richey resulted in an SUV colliding with a house Monday afternoon, Jan. 25.
According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, a 28-year-old Port Richey woman was driving a sedan southbound on Rainbow Lane, approaching Embassy Boulevard, at approximately 3:27 p.m. A 33-year-old Port Richey woman was driving an SUV westbound on Embassy Boulevard approaching Rainbow Lane as the sedan was stopped at a posted stop sign at the intersection. FHP reports state the sedan continued from the stop sign and then collided with the front right side of the SUV.
The collision caused the SUV to rotate and enter the south shoulder of Embassy Boulevard before crashing into a house at 9205 Rainbow Lane.
Neither vehicle contained passengers, both women were wearing seat belts and no injuries were reported.
FHP troopers cited the driver of the sedan for violation of right-of-way.
