HOLIDAY – A pedestrian attempting to cross U.S. Highway 19 was struck and killed Tuesday evening, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The victim, identified as a 43-year-old New Port Richey man, reportedly began walking across the highway at the intersection of Moog Road at approximately 6:22 p.m. A pickup truck driven by a 48-year-old New Port Richey man was traveling northbound on U.S. 19 and collided with the pedestrian.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.
