Join us for a beginning bird hike to learn how to identify the area’s common birds as we meander along a one-mile trail. The event is free, but registration is required on Eventbrite; UF-IFAS Pinellas Extension Advanced Plant Identification – 3-Part Series, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., is for teens and adults. The three-part identification series will introduce participants to the steps required to identify plants. During each four-hour session, participants will have lecture, hands-on and field experiences. Each session will build on the previous one and attending all three session is highly recommended. The series costs $35, and registration and payment can be completed on Eventbrite; Night Hike in the Preserve, 7:30-9 p.m., is for families and adults. Join experienced guides as they lead you on a one-mile hiking experience along the Ed Center Trail at night – where the preserve is full of sounds and smells very different from the daytime.
