A free concert will be held, 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, at Sims Park, 6341 Sims Lane, New Port Richey. T. Michael & Duke will perform at 6 p.m. and Phil Dirt will present Surf’s Up Beach Boys Tribute at 7 p.m. Wear a Hawaiian shirt to be part of the attempt for the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing aloha (Hawaiian) shirts. One Community Now Hunger Walk will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Gulf High School, 5355 School Road, New Port Richey. The walk aims to increase awareness about the hunger problems in our community and help feed hungry children in Pasco. There will also be live music, dodgeball, face painting, games, relays, food trucks, vendors, Easter egg hunts and more. The money raised will benefit the Pasco Pack-A-Sack Food 4 Kids program. CARES Beach Chair-ity Festival and Auction will be held at Sunwest Park, 17362 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson, from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday. On Saturday, a fireworks show will be held at dusk. There will also be a Tampa Bay Water Ski Show at 1 p.m. The CARES Beach Chair-ity Auction will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. Sponsors donate adirondack chairs painted by local artists. They will also be judged in three categories: Most Creative, Best Use of Color, and Most Facebook Likes. Both days of the festival will feature crafts, vendors and live music. The event is free and parking is $5. Money raised through the festival and auction will benefit CARES, a nonprofit organization that provides services for seniors and their families in Pasco County.
