The University of Florida Honeybee Lab for Extension education will hold the first of six Hernando Beginning Beekeepers Workshop Series: Starting your first colony on Friday, Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The workshop is being held at the UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County Office, 16110 Aviation Loop Dr., Brooksville. Dinner and Comedy Night

Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane #0303, Spring Hill, will be hosting a fun filled evening of comedy including an abundant dinner buffet on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6-10 p.m. The headlining comedian is Chris Gorges, who will be joined by Jeff Kline, along with host and emcee Steven Michael Bixenspan. Wild Florida Photographers Mixer

The Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville, is hosting a mixer to focus on the upcoming ‘Wild Florida’ Nature in Black & White photography exhibit on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 4-6 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided and learn tips and tricks about shooting and editing monochrome photos.
