LUTZ – Medical Center of Trinity has opened its newest free-standing emergency department, ER 24-7, in Lutz last week.

The center, 1430 Dale Mabry Highway, just south of the junction with U.S. 41, is next to a Wal-Mart and offers access to emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week, with all the resources needed for acute care of a serious illness or injury. According to Medical Center of Trinity, ER 24-7 provides more advanced services than an urgent care center. It will also accept patients via ambulance and has on-site CT scan, ultrasound and x-ray equipment, in addition to laboratory services.

ER 24-7 in Lutz is staffed by physicians who are board certified in emergency care and nurses with emergency care experience and certifications.

ER 24-7 facilities are touted for their convenience and shorter wait times compared to walking into the emergency room at a hospital. Medical Center of Trinity opened another ER 24-7, in Palm Harbor, at 35750 U.S. 19 N., south of Alderman Road,  and Citrus Park ER by Citrus Park Mall.
