On the Suncoast there are several options that active duty military and their immediate family members can enjoy. The offer is good through Labor Day 2013 and valid military ID is required. Other restrictions may apply according to the individual attraction's rules. Contact the museum you are interested in visiting before attending.
The Henry B. Plant Museum - This National Historic Landmark shines with Moorish architecture, opulent furnishings and tropical gardens. This celebrated hotel attracted a host of famous guests including Teddy Roosevelt, Sarah Bernhardt and Babe Ruth.
Children's Museum of the Highlands - Exhibits at the museum in Sebring include waterworks, mini grovery store, "One World Diner," and more.
John and Mable Ringling Museum of Fine Art - The collection at this Sarasota landmark includes fine art, historic mansion, two circus museums and theater.
Explorations V - Another option for families with children, this Lakeland museum offers interactive science, music appreciation, art, local history and world travel exhibits.
Polk Museum of Art - The museum in Lakeland features modern and contemporary art, Asian art, European and American decorative arts and pre-Columbian art as well as traveling exhibits.
