The Manhattan Transfer, a world-renowned harmony group, has scored numerous Grammy Awards over the years. Having sold millions of albums worldwide, The Manhattan Transfer is arguably the most successful vocal harmony group of all time. Tim Hauser founded the current incarnation of the group in 1972 with members Alan Paul, Janis Siegel and Cheryl Bentyne. The group quickly solidified themselves as an undeniable musical force with a diverse catalog.

Upon Hauser’s passing, Trist Curless joined the group and can be heard extending the legacy of this powerhouse group. Some of the Manhattan Transfer’s biggest hits include “Operator,” “Chanson D’Amour,” “Twilight Zone,” “Birdland,” “The Boy from N.Y.C.,” “Spice of Life,” “Ray’s Rockhouse,” “The Shaker Song” and “Mystery.”

“The Junction,” the group’s latest album, was released earlier this year and debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Jazz. “The Summit,” the band’s new SoundStage PBS show with Take 6, premiered in April 2018.

Legendary trumpet player Herb Alpert and his wife, the Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lani Hall, along with their gifted band, also will return to Clearwater to perform an eclectic mix of music.

Alpert's extraordinary musicianship has earned him five No. 1 hits and nine Grammy Awards. He has sold more than 72 million records.

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass propelled his sound into the pop music limelight, at one point outselling the Beatles two to one. Some of their 14 Top 40 singles are “The Lonely Bull,” “Mexican Shuffle,” “Spanish Flea” the Grammy winners “A Taste of Honey” and “What Now My Love” and the No. 1 hits “This Guy's in Love With You” and “Rise.” In 1966, they achieved the since-unmatched feat of simultaneously having four albums in the Top 10 – and five in the Top 20. Herb Alpert also has the distinction of being the only artist who has had a No. 1 instrumental and vocal single.
