Have Gun, Will Travel takes the stage for a special performance Oct. 6 at the Palladium.

ST. PETERSBURG – Have Gun, Will Travel, along with special guests, will present a tribute to “The Last Waltz” Saturday, Oct. 6, 8 p.m., at the Palladium at St. Petersburg College, 253 Fifth Ave. N., St. Petersburg.

Reserved seating tickets start at $28. Call 727-822-3590 or visit mypalladium.org.

The music of Have Gun, Will Travel has been featured in a national Chevy TV commercial, as well as the PBS series “Roadtrip Nation,” CBS’s “The Good Wife,” Travel Channel’s “Expedition Unknown” and the Netflix series “The Ranch.” Their live performances have been described as rousing, rollicking, energetic and dynamic. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Matt Burke enthusiastically leads the band through a collection of songs that run the gamut from foot-stomping front-porch spirituals to strum-punk rave-ups, hill-country historicals and more.

For this concert, the band will present a special performance in conjunction with The Florida Holocaust Museum’s current exhibition “Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution,” on display through Feb. 10, 2019 at the museum. On Nov. 25, 1976, Graham presented The Band in the final performance of their career at an all-star concert called “The Last Waltz” at the Winterland Auditorium. The Band was joined by special guests such as Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Wood, and Muddy Waters. The event was filmed by Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary of the same title.

Have Gun, Will Travel will be joined by special guests and will re-create The Band’s iconic final concert, playing the entire set list from the legendary performance.
